The CNC-machined aluminum gear is highly durable and delivers exceptional longevity, even under frequent stress. The Airdrive design concept features the latest DAIWA spinning reel technology. The lightweight, torsion-resistant Airdrive rotor made from Zaion V material shifts the reel’s centre of gravity to the lower body unit offering improved balance and sensitivity. The extremely lightweight Airdrive spool further reduces weight at the front unit. Its newly designed spool lip minimizes friction and supports longer casting distances. The Airdrive shaft is almost connected contact-free, guided via ball bearings at the pinion gear, ensuring exceptional sensitivity and smooth rotation during fishing. The Airdrive bail minimizes the risk of line tangles around the bail arm and line roller – especially beneficial in crosswinds or when using thin lines.
